Unlike banks, credit unions are member-owned cooperatives. We accomplish this by being a loyal and supportive corporate citizen, giving back to the cities and locales where our residents further their careers, develop friendships, start and raise families and advance their lives. We need to ensure that neighbors are helping neighbors. Our mission is to expand public safety in the community.

MONA sponsors events and charity drives to provide our members with a variety of such opportunities to help the wider community. Through community service , participants are invited to take responsibility for past actions and repair the damage done by giving back to the community and providing a service that enriches the lives of others. We help Arlington residents find shelter, emergency foo housing and other vital services. Our service area encompasses Snohomish, Island and Skagit counties. The Department of Human Services offers a number of assistance programs for Arlington residents.

Virginia has temporarily suspended co-pays for any Medicaid or FAMIS covered services. Public Health programs, clinics and services protect those who live, work, play and learn in Arlington. Community service is a form of alternative sentencing. Please note, Lynsey is currently on leave and will be back in the fall.

Referrals can be made to all Arlington County shelters. Our support services and advocacy help individuals with disabilities to achieve integration and full participation in their communities. A range of programs and services are available to help Arlington residents overcome or better manage their mental health and substance use issues.

Paul’s Chapel Standing on the viewing platform of the World Trade Center site, I was not fully prepared for the deep emotions I experienced nearly six months after the devastation. The Behavioral Healthcare Division offers a range of helpful services for mental health and substance abuse. The office promotes offender accountability and affords individuals an opportunity to achieve a successful personal life.

The Black Student Union (BSU) organized a protest, Activating Arlington , in front of Town Hall. This youth-le peaceful protest was held to address systemic racism within Arlington Public Schools. Lineup of speakers includes youth, alumni, and community members. Arlington County government relies on the hard work of its many civic-minded volunteer commissioners to help it make decisions that benefit our community.

We thank each commissioner for his or her service , and we invite you to apply for appointment to a commission. The action allows the County Board to fulfill a commitment to the community to replace the inadequate Emergency Winter Shelter with a permanent, comprehensive Homeless Services Center in the Courthouse Neighborhood. We promote maximum independence of Arlington County residents with developmental disabilities by helping individuals and their families access services that enable them to have choices within their lives, at home and in the community.
