Chinese maritime customs service

Not long after it was establishe the agency began to publish reports on a regular basis. Across the nearly one hundred years of its existence, some 20men and women (but mostly men) from many different nationalities, served in the Customs. Technically, its role was limited to insuring the accurate assessment of Customs duties (taxes on imports and exports).
