Check the fuel lines connecting the outboard motor to the fuel tank. If any breaks or leakages are foun immediately stop use of the outboard motor and take it to the shop for repairs. Inspect hoses and gaskets around the outboard , particularly the fuel lines and primer bulbs, every few months. Check for cracks, tears and pinholes that often form, especially in fishing vessels.
